Grant Activity

Conduct independent or collaborative research, teach graduate courses, or combine both activities in the scholar's field of study.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.

Grants must be completed between July 1, 2020 and September 30, 2021.

Locations

Projects are encouraged in all parts of Brazil. Priority will be given to applicants who locate their projects outside of the urban areas of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Flex Description

Flex grants, which allow the grant to be split into two two-month in-country visits between July 1, 2020 and September 30, 2021, will be considered. There must be a period of no less than two months between the two in-country stays.
