Grant Activity

Teach, conduct research or propose a project combining both activities.

For projects that incorporate a teaching element, applicants will be expected to teach one to two regular undergraduate and graduate courses per semester. Regular course meets usually once a week for 90 minutes. Further, the grantee may be asked to oversee student theses and dissertations, and assist with curriculum and program development. 

Professional projects may include visits to organizations in the applicant's professional field, practical experience in day-to-day operations, public lectures, or other appropriate professional activities. Applicant’s proposals for this grant activity should include a concrete description of the planned activities during the grant period and an explanation of the expected benefits for the applicant, his/her professional field, and host community/organization. 

For professional projects terminal degree to be consulted with the Commission at fulbright@fulbright.cz.

Grant Length
Three to nine months
Grant Dates

One-semester grants must begin in either September or late January ; two-semester grants must begin in September.

Professional grants may be 3-4 months in duration and must begin in either September or late January.

Locations

Any appropriate institution of higher education, for research awards also any institution performimg academic research (e.g. institutes of the Academy of Sciences)
