Award Activity

Two out of three Fulbright Scholar Awards are open to scholars as per following award activities: 

1. Award Activity: Classroom teaching on the Data Security course at undergraduate level up to 4 hours teaching per week. Also, the scholar will be giving guest lectures, workshops, and seminars, and engaging in other related activities.  In addition, the scholar will do a research on selected topics of the applicant’s choosing in cyber security field.

Teaching 50%  and research 50%.

Award dates: March 1, 2023 through Sep 1, 2023

Location: University of Prishtina, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prishtina, Kosovo

Special Features: University will help and offer logistical assistance in finding housing for the scholar.

Disciplines: Cyber Security (from basic to advanced) with support of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools. Some key words: Cryptography, Top 10 OWASP vulnerabilities, KALI Linux, Security tools (BurpSuite, Password audits, web scanners, pen test, Wireshark, etc.). Programming experience with Python or Java.

2. Award Activity: Delivering lectures on Principles of International Business or Development Economics, 2 hours per week. Participation in the yearly Scientific Conference of the Faculty. Organization of workshops / seminars in the topic joint topic of interest. Participation in the development activities of the Faculty, with the aim to improve quality assurance in teaching and research. Moreover, Fulbright Scholar will also be engaged in research on selected topics of the applicant’s choosing.

Time for teaching 50% from total, and 50% for research.

 Location: Faculty of Economics, University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina"

3. Award Activity: Open to Scholars in disciplines listed below.

Scholars selected for this grant will be required to attend a mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation as they arrive in the country in late summer 2022.

Scholars selected for this award will be required to:
  • Advise and/or mentor students
  • Conduct a professional and/or artistic project
  • Conduct a research project designated by the host institution
  • Conduct a research project of the applicant’s choosing
  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses designated by the host institution
Award Length
Six to 10 months.
Award Dates

Award #1 - Grant may only begin in March 2023 and continue through Sep 1, 2023

Award #2 - Grant may only begin in October 2022 through February 2023 or February through June 2023. 

Award #3 - Following dates are acceptable: March 2023 through Sep 1, 2023 or October 2022 through February 2023 or February through June 2023
