Grant Activity

Conduct research and/or collaborate with Spanish academic and research institutions. Activities may include presenting lectures, seminars and workshops as arranged by host institution or the U.S.-Spain Fulbright Commission.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.

Grant Dates

Grants may begin any time after September 2020, and they should conclude by the end of July 2021. Justified requests for different grant dates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Spanish universities, institutions of higher education, and research centers.
