Grant Activity

This grant provides scholars with the opportunity to conduct research at the Universidad de la Laguna. Priority will be given to experts in the field of biomedicine, and specifically the field of neurodegenerative diseases. Projects which contribute to research being carried out by ULL research groups in relation to neurobiology and brain diseases are especially encouraged.

Applicants are advised to include an invitation letter from the relevant faculty at the Universidad de la Laguna in their application as well as a research plan in the project statement of the application. Proposals for medical research involving clinical training, patient care, or patient contact are not eligible.

Research Groups:

  • Constitute the basic structure through which the University’s lines of research are pursued.
  • Are established voluntarily by researchers and other staff members who wish to pursue a particular line of research.
  • Aim to pursue research, development and innovation efforts in response to the demand for technological and artistic products, both within the University itself and amongst wider society.
  • Are characterized by specific lines of research and by the delivery of specific technologies.
