Grant Activity

Conduct a combination of teaching and research with the teaching component to be agreed upon with the head of school.  The scholar will also have the opportunity to conduct and present his/her own research. 

Strong emphasis will be placed on experience and track record in high quality research. The selected scholar will be expected to mentor early career researchers towards engaged and high impact scholarly research of a quality that can be published in leading journals in their field. To this end the person will support and deliver seminar series, roundtable discussions and working groups at the college.

It will also be expected that the scholarship will strengthen the relationship between the college institutions through shared research and co-authoring opportunities.  Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks and otherwise engage in the host community to support the aim of expanding and strengthening relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of their nations. 

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.
