Award Activity

The U.S. Scholar is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity with a special focus on Finacial Technology (FINTECH) at Botho University.  The number of contact hours per week will be no more than eight. Those will include mostly lectures, with the assistance of local teaching instructors and assistants on tutorials. The U.S. Scholar is expected to provide a complete guide on how labs and tutorials have to be run, and work closely with TIs and TAs and provide them with training as necessary. He/she is expected to set up at least two tests and exam papers for students. The emphasis should be on practical hands-on experience.

Scholars selected for this award can choose to:
  • Advise and/or mentor students
  • Assist in faculty, curriculum, and/or program development
  • Conduct a professional and/or artistic project
  • Conduct a research project designated by the host institution
  • Conduct a research project of the applicant’s choosing
  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses designated by the host institution
  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses of the applicant’s choosing
