While this award is open to any project in the disciplines listed above, there is interest in scholars who are in these particular specialty areas.

The Scholar will be expected to have a research reputation in the area of spatial data analytics,  ideally focusing in the area of spatial data modelling, spatial statistics or geocomputation, with a view to developing and/or applying methodologies from these areas during their visit. In terms of the applied work, possible areas of study might include transport, migration, crime pattern analysis or health - although other proposed areas of study may also be considered.
