While this award is open to any project in the disciplines listed above, there is interest in scholars who are in these particular specialty areas.

Applications in the following specializations are preferred: assessment, social and affective education, ICT, research methodology, early childhood education, special needs education, pedagogy for children with special needs, disability studies, special education of hearing and visual impaired children and adults, rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities, disability studies, inclusive education, methodology of biology education, research and laboratory methods and techniques, learner centered education, inquiry based learning, intercultural education, adult education, teacher education, history of education, remembrance education, sociology of education, educational psychology, clinical and health psychology, developmental and clinical child psychology, interpersonal and intercultural psychology, mental health from Christian perspective, spirituality, psychology of special needs, neurodevelopmental disabilities, assistive/educational digital technologies
