Grant Activity

The recipient of the grant will be expected to teach the course “Seminars in Theory and Philosophy of Law” to the PhD programme in Legal Sciences. An average of 15 students are enrolled in this course every year.

Previously topics taught in this discipline range from Human Rights Foundations, Law and Literature, Gender Equality, Multiculturalism. Furthermore, the candidate is to engage in the research activities of the Research Centre for Justice and Governance (JusGov).
JusGov is dedicated to advance research and scholarship in law by pursuing an innovative research programme and by delivering high quality training for both maser and doctoral students. As part of its mission, Jusgov seeks to explore the role of Law in meeting contemporary societal challenges such as those identified by UN2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in particular the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies, the achievement of gender equality, the provision of access to justice for all and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

The grant recipient should be able to organize and teach 2 thematic workshop (10 hour each) under the Jusgov’s research scope, aimed at early stage researchers.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.
