Grant Activity

The selected scholar will participate in scientific consultancy and collaboration to evaluate the information available, and work with the host to prioritize actions and design monitoring programs towards the development of integrated coastal management of the Portuguese continental coast.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.

Special Features

The host will contribute €750/month for housing expenses. The host does not provide housing or assistance in finding housing. 

The host institution will provide computer facilities, internet access (wireless) and e-mail, office space and secretarial assistance. The host will also give access to laboratories and existing equipment, if needed.
