Grant Activity

The Scholar will be expected to take part in research activities and to contribute to student understanding of the nature and role of research mathematics and the processes by which one trains to become a research mathematician. The Scholar will take part in different kinds of activities of the Budapest Semesters of Mathematics.

The Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences will co-host the Scholar for the academic activity/research, and will provide research services and a vibrant scientific environment.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.
