Fulbright Canada and Carleton University have established dedicated research chairs in support of educational programming, teaching and research. This opportunity will allow extraordinary American scholars and top-tier applied researchers to spend one academic year as a visiting research scholar working in a targeted area of academic inquiry.  For specific information about this or other opportunities visit the Fulbright Canada webpage.

Arts and Social Sciences in Canada and North America
Specialization: Open to scholars working on any research topic relevant to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Entrepreneurship
Specialization: Entrepreneurial strategies, start-ups, marketing, private-public partnerships, technology, economic and social entrepreneurship, enhancing institutional frameworks.

Environmental Science
Specialization: Conservation science; Environmental decisions; Environmental management; Water resources; Environmental contamination; Ecology; Geoscience; Biodiversity; Stewardship; Environmental health; Restoration; Resource development; Sustainability; Science communication; Environmental policy.

Public Affairs in North America: Society, Policy, Media
Specialization: Open to scholars working in the social sciences and/or humanities on any research topic relevant to public affairs.

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Specialization: Student success in the classroom, inclusive classrooms, curriculum studies, research as pedagogy, feedback and assessment design, student engagement, experiential learning, critical pedagogy.
