Award Activity

Conduct research or a combination of teaching and research, and collaborate with colleagues at a research center at any of these two member institutions of CY Initiative: Cergy Paris UniversitéESSEC Business School. Through collaborations with these members of CY Initiative, other members of CY Alliance may be considered, such as the schools of art and architecture.

Scholars selected for this award will be required to:
  • Conduct a research project of the applicant’s choosing
  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses designated by the host institution

Grants may begin any time from September 2022.

Locations

An academic department or research center affiliated with CY Initiative, which consists of CY Cergy Paris Université and ESSEC Business School. Incoming researchers will be hosted by the CY Advanced Studies, the Institute of Advanced Studies of CY Initiative. Cergy is located approximately 20 miles from Paris, in the northwestern suburbs.

CY Initiative welcomes candidates in all fields.

CY Initiative aims to shed light on major contemporary societal issues. These major issues are approached in their global complexity, by favoring an interdisciplinary approach. Particular attention will be paid to projects that address societal challenges related to the fields of economics, finance, and management; heritage science (interdisciplinary approach to historic conservation and cultural heritage studies); art and luxury; risk management (mathematical, economic and financial modelling); and society and security.

Quantifiable (tangible) outcomes can include publications (books, journal articles, scripts, etc.), conference presentations, artistic and musical compositions, exhibitions, performances, films, and patents.
