Grant Activity

This award supports scholars who would like to conduct research and/or teach at the university level in Mexico, in the grantee's area of specialization. Grantees can also consult on curriculum, program and faculty development, and conduct seminars and workshops.

Grant Length
Three to nine months
Grant Dates

Full academic year grants preferred. Nine-month grants start in August or September 2021. One semester grants must correspond to the host institution's academic calendar, to start in August or September 2021 or January 2022. All grants must be completed by June 30, 2022. 


Applications or affiliations located in areas where there is a level 4 U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory in effect will NOT be considered. See the U.S. Department of State Travel Advisories webpage for further information.

While this award is open to any project in the disciplines listed above, there is interest in scholars who are in these particular specialty areas.

Public policy and health initiatives; projects in the arts that further dialogue and contact between the arts communities of Mexico and the United States.
