The main research interests of the members of the department involve the development of new statistical methods but also the possibility to make the traditional methods feasible in terms of computational costs for the analysis of Big Data. The research is also focused on fields of application in which the Big Data play a relevant role, like the social and psychometric studies, the analysis of financial data, the analysis of textual and consumer behavior data, the analysis of genetic and environmental data. As a result, there are several opportunities of collaboration for the scholar with the members of the department.
