While this award is open to any project in the disciplines listed above, there is interest in scholars who are in these particular specialty areas.

The region welcomes candidates in all disciplines (science and technology, life sciences and health, social sciences, and the humanities). Research projects that focus on the fields in which the region is especially strong are particularly appreciated: bioeconomy, health, energy transition and the environment, and artificial intelligence.
