Grant Activity

Conduct research in area of specialization.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary research or teaching activities‎.

Grants may begin any time after September 2018.

Locations

Hauts-de-France universities or research centers. Grantees are expected to reside in the region of the award.

Specializations

The Hauts-de-France region welcomes candidates in the hard and social sciences as well as the humanities, including museum conservation, culture and preservation and visual art creation (Louvre Lens and 200 regional museums). The following are priority areas for the region: STEM multidisciplinary projects involving biology, health, physics, chemistry, math and computer science; environmental sciences and impact studies on air, water and soil; energetic transitions (renewable energies, energy production and storage, eco-mobility and intelligent energy networks); rail and car transportation; materials studies; advanced technologies of information and communication; cognitive science; ethics; industrial societies and economic systems.
