Grant Activity

Teach courses and seminars at undergraduate and graduate level with special emphasis on educating and practical application. Conduct research, assist with curriculum development and other activities, as requested.

Enhance high quality of media literacy education and development of cutting-edge cybersecurity studies especially at the university level in Poland.

 

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.
Grant Length
3 to 5 months
Grant Dates

Awards are offered for 3 to 5 months (a semester).

Teaching-only grants should be conducted between October 2020 and June 2021.

Teaching/Research grants should be conducted between September 2020 and June 2021.

Since the academic year in Poland starts in October, teaching activities cannot start prior to that date. 

Research activities can be commenced in September (in well justified cases they can begin a few weeks earlier).

Locations

Any appropriate institution, with leading department/faculty dedicated to teaching media literacy and/or best practices in cybersecurity such as the New Research on Digital Societies group at Kozminski University in Warsaw, at a higher education institution, research institute, Polish Academy of Science unit, international scientific institute or other scientific unit based in Poland.

Conduct policy-oriented research that addresses topics of common importance for the U.S.-EU relationship and/or EU affairs and that is tenable in any one or two EU Member States. Candidates are responsible for arranging their own placement, including letters of invitation from any hosts.
