Grant Activity

Teach courses and seminars at undergraduate and graduate level, assist with curriculum development and/or conduct research and other activities, as requested.

Enhance high quality of media literacy education and development of cutting-edge cybersecurity studies especially at the university level in Poland.

3 to 5 months
Grant Dates

Awards are offered for 3 to 5 months for research projects and for 4 to 5 months (a semester) for teaching and teaching/research projects.

Teaching-only grants should be conducted between October 2021 and June 2022. 

Teaching/Research grants should be conducted between September 2021 and June 2022.  

Note on teaching activities: The winter semester lasts from October through January (4 months). The spring semester typically lasts from February to June (5 months), however it may be possible to agree with the Host Institution on dates from mid-February to mid-June comprising a 4-months period. 

Locations

Any appropriate institution, with leading department/faculty dedicated to teaching media literacy and/or best practices in cybersecurity such as the New Research on Digital Societies group at Kozminski University in Warsaw, at a higher education institution, research institute, Polish Academy of Science unit, international scientific institute or other scientific unit based in Poland.

While this award is open to any project in the disciplines listed above, there is interest in scholars who are in these particular specialty areas.

Candidates are sought in all appropriate disciplines with strong interest in digital society, digital humanities, the new media, STS, or cybersecurity.
