Award Activity

Teaching (up to 60% of grant activity):

The scholar will teach a maximum of one course, with a total of 20-30 students and 10-20 teaching hours in the classroom, divided between theory and lab sessions.

The scholar's expertise should be in aspects of Pharmaceutical Science (general pharmaceutical science, research in neuropsychopharmacology or research in cardiovascular pharmacology). He/she is expected to teach part of the following subjects:

Research in cardiovascular pharmacology

  • Research in neuropsycopharmacology

Research (up to 40% of grant activity):

The Scholar will be invited to present his/her research in seminars and to attend research seminars led by UAM professors. There will be ample opportunities for research collaboration.

Scholars selected for this award will be required to:
  • Advise and/or mentor students
  • Assist in faculty, curriculum, and/or program development
  • Conduct a research project designated by the host institution
  • Conduct a research project of the applicant’s choosing
  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses designated by the host institution
  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses of the applicant’s choosing
