Grant Activity

Teach undergraduate or graduate courses in specialized discipline. Develop curriculum, courses, and training manuals. Conduct staff development. Scholars may also conduct research in their area of specialization if available.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.

University of Botswana welcomes applications in HIV/AIDS (anthropology, area studies, biological sciences, communications, economics, education, medical sciences, political science, psychology, public/global health, social work, sociology, history and environmental sciences).

Botho University welcomes applications in Health Information Management (disease coding, medical transcription, epidemiology, bio-statistics, health information management, medical databases, health ethics).

Boitekanelo College welcomes applications in the area of disease informatics, nutrition and occupational safety training.

Special Features

The host institution will provide all logistics with reference to accommodation and local transport arrangements in the first two weeks while the scholar is settling. A scholar in consltation with post may choose to work with several academic instituions but choosing one as the primary host.
