Grant Activity

Teach at the university level and/or engage in collaborative research in grantee's area of specialization. Consult on curriculum, program and faculty development. Conduct seminars and workshops.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.

Grant Dates

Nine-month grants start in August or September of 2019. One-semester grants must correspond to the host institution´s academic calendar, August or September 2019 or January of 2020. All grants must be completed by June 30, 2020.

Locations

COMEXUS, the Fulbright commission in Mexico, follows the recommendations of both the Mexican government and the U.S. Embassy when placing U.S. Fulbright grantees in Mexico. Placement may be restricted in certain states or areas of Mexico, dependent on these recommendations. Please consult the detailed U.S. State Dept. All disciplines will be considered with the exception of medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry. COMEXUS is particularly interested in projects focused on public policy and health initiatives, but also have a long history of supporting projects in the arts that further dialogue and contact between the arts communities of Mexico and the United States.
