Grant Activity

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in American literature, culture, history, philosophy, politics or society on all levels. Participate in curriculum and program development. Offer consultations for students and staff. Oversee student theses and dissertations and advise on library acquisitions.

Scholars applying for a joint teaching and research project may undertake research within their area of specialization.

While this award is open to any project in the disciplines listed above, there is interest in scholars who are in these particular specialty areas.

Applications are sought in all appropriate specializations, but applications in the following specializations are preferred: literature, history, writing, culture, politics, ethnic and regional studies, and linguistics.
