Grant Activity

The visiting Scholar would be expected to undertake a defined program of research in the School for a 3-12 month period.  It would be expected that the Scholar would participate in or attend most School activities during this period (e.g. seminars, conferences etc.) They would interact with other research staff in the School. The Scholar will have an opportunity to give lectures/seminars in DIAS/local universities. This should prove an ideal sabbatical opportunity to suitably qualified candidates.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.
